Over the past few decades the idea of getting "inked" has made the transition from a rebellious act to an artistic form of self expression. Tattoos have grown to be an accepted part of our culture, especially between the ages of 18 and 32.
In the past, tattoos were seen as deviant and wrong, but as time passed people have begun to see the "perks"  of having one. Getting a tattoo is the ultimate form of self expression. This is not to say that all parents are okay with their children turning themselves into human sketchpads, but families are generally not as ashamed of the idea as they may have been in the past.
People use tattoos to remember those who have passed, to represent undying love, highlight personality traits, and to symbolize the love between a parent and child. Tattoos are pieces of art that represent future aspirations as well as past achievements.
While ink is becoming an accepted part of our society, not many people take into consideration some of the permanent consequences that may be involved. Here are some questions that you should ask yourself before you get that tattoo.
Are you getting it from a certified place? Is it possible that you can get sick from that needle? How will the tattoo affect your prospects at your next job interview or your current career? Are you absolutely sure that you want this to remain on your body for years to come? Can the tattoo be covered?   Getting a tattoo is an artistic gesture, so if you choose to go forward with the body art be picky about your creativity.
