YouTube is one of the most resourceful and popular websites on the internet.
It comes in right after Google and Facebook as the third most trafficked site according to alexa.com.

YouTube has grown to become a community of people from around the globe with similar interests who share their thoughts and ideas through videos.
YouTube is not just a place to find Lady Gaga's latest music video, it's also an active vlogging (video blogging) community.

YouTube's content is extremely diverse including How To videos, music videos, informative videos, comedy videos, and videos of people just venting about their daily lives and experiences. If one needs lyrics to a song or is searching for a video, YouTube is the place to go.

You can find almost anything on this site. It is like going on Google, but all of the results are in video form. YouTube.com has now become not only a video portal but also a global networking site.

To make it easier to find videos, YouTube is broken down into categories. You can choose from comedy, entertainment, politics, musicians and "partners," along with many others.

In the category of comedy, LonelyIsland, Fred, WasteTimeChasingCars and Shane Dawson are very popular among teens. These users all put on skits, so they're like the SNL of YouTube.

WasteTimeChasingCars is mostly known more for his homemade music videos, with his own twist to them. CharlieisSoCoolLike and LisaNova make videos consisting of skits, but also vlogs.

Then there are those, such as AmazingPhil, 5AwesomeGays, and VlogCandy, who make videos mostly as vlogs. These users share their ideas and opinions about particular topics and also what happens on a daily basis in their lives.

YouTube is not only for laughs. Some popular users share beauty tips.

KandeeJohnson's page is dedicated to giving makeup, fashion, and costume advice.
YouTube is more than just a website; some of these "You Tubers" have a fan-base and have merchandise available for purchase.

They have become internet celebrities. Some of today's well known celebrities were "born" out of a YouTube page.

YouTube has also become a huge music market. A lot of inspiring artists have gotten noticed on YouTube for their amount of hits and have gotten a career out of it. Artists such as Cassie and Bo Burnham started out this way.

One of my personal favorites is Andrew Bravener's YouTube page. Andrew isn't really in a specific category of what type of videos he makes.

He vlogs art work, causes that he supports, and some of his thoughts and opinions.
