"We're very concerned about student tuition, which would theoretically increase $500 per semester if the proposal went through. RCC is founded on the principles of affordability and accessibility.  We are just asking the state to pay its fair share and abide by the law."
Dr. Cliff Wood, President

"It's an unfortunate situation that the government doesn't value its people. It's not affording its citizens a quality education that is needed in these economic times."
 – Debra Balestra, Student Involvement

"What a blow to education, what contempt for education infrastructure. If we don't have our education we have nothing. This is very shortsighted of Paterson. At least the President speaks about supporting community colleges."
- Dr. David Beisel, History

"The proposal is putting the cost of education on the backs of students. There are other ways to maximize cost savings statewide. You don't cut education. If we don't train [college students] then they don't become a productive citizens who eventually pay taxes. The smartest thing to do is invest in education. Paterson's budget is a disaster for higher education."
- Dr. Cliff Garner, English
